CITIx60 Art Print Project
Berlin City Map
Classic and modern constructions, major landmarks, labyrinthine railways and main streets are neatly woven into CITIx60 Berlin City Map, presenting an idealised view of inner Berlin with minutely rendered details reflective of the city’s variegated landscape. Architecture fans and curious eyes will be pleased by the artist’s artistic sensibilities, analysed drawing and love for creation evident in the city’s intricate fabric. All that defines the hot creative capital is delightfully reconstructed in a dynamic setting, set in a warm vintage tone.
With a background in architecture and graphic design, Vesa Sammalisto is a multitalented illustrator noted for his characterful map drawings created for Google, Twitter, Cartoon Network, Penguin Books, Monocle, Wired and Qatar Airways, etc. The ADC Young Guns award winner currently runs his studio in Helsinki.
