CITIx60 Art Print Project
Istanbul City Map
Dynamic street life, old towns and Istanbulites’ affection for the Bosporus strait all burst in CITIx60 Istanbul City Map meticulously drawn by local illustrator Beril Ateş. Follow the Whirling Dervishes and vendors’ lead, and you will find yourself zipping through the glamour and grace of Ottoman palaces and mosques, in a cultural rich collage of happy faces, artistic treasures and local life imbued with a vibrant chaos that make Istanbul so magical and unique.
Professionally trained in Bilkent University and currently based in Istanbul, illustrator and graphic designer Beril Ateş creates under a comedic light. People is her greatest inspiration, but her art also reflects her deep love with her cultural roots. Upon her graduation, she pursued printmaking at Parsons New York, created apparel and home accessory brand KAFA, and exhibits her work around Istanbul and Ankara.
CITIx60 Art Print Project is an extension of CITIx60 City Guide. Istanbul City Map is specially produced as a creative collaboration for CITIx60: Istanbul between viction:ary and Beril Ateş, exclusively available on victionary.com. Selected city maps are available as limited fine art prints, numbered and/or signed, following the publication of the city guides.
