CITIx60 Art Print Project
Melbourne City Map
True to the saying that Melbourne has something for everyone, the Australian creative hub’s frenetic bustle pops in Melbournian graphic artist Ellen Porteus’ gifted hands. Feel the urban vibe bursting from Central Business District’s city grid and the happening inner suburbs ablaze in a dazzling palette. Specialty coffee, diverse culinary offerings, band sounds, cultural landmarks and parks — the popping icons perfectly transfer the city’s energy in CITIx60 Melbourne City Map.
Marked by bold lines, crazy colour compositions and a good sense of humour, Melbourne-based Ellen Porteus’ illustration and animated work draws inspirations from the quirky patterns and paradoxical situations in the society and everyday life. After graduating from the University of Technology Sydney, Porteus has become a regular contributor to the like of The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, Sydney Opera House and The Guardian, spreading her good spirits across branding projects and editorial spreads.
CITIx60 Art Print Project is an extension of CITIx60 City Guide. Melbourne City Map is specially produced as a creative collaboration for CITIx60: Melbourne between viction:ary and Ellen Porteus, exclusively available on victionary.com. Selected city maps are available as limited fine art prints, numbered and/or signed, following the publication of the city guides.
