CITIx60 Art Print Project
Portland City Map
CITIx60 Portland City Map takes you deep into the recesses of Portland’s unlimited imagination and vibrant character. Visualising a condensed layout of a hundred of Portland’s landmarks and buildings, Joyce Fan’s illustration captures the dynamism of this endlessly fascinating cultural hub, where buds of creativity are just waiting to blossom in every streetway and alley. With trees rendered into simple icons and freeways branching out into the cityscape like roots and veins, Fan expresses the city’s dual nature —where natural hues and urban fabrics interweave.
Professionally trained in 3D modelling and concept design, Hong Kong-born and Portland-raised Joyce Fan is a 3D artist by day and freelance illustrator by night. Having evolved from a child who doodled all over her first-grade homework to a now full-time digital artist, Fan often reminisces about her childhood imaginations and the whimsical adventures she journeyed on in her works. She holds a BFA in media arts and animation from The Art Institute of Portland in 2014.
CITIx60 Art Print Project is an extension of CITIx60 City Guides. Portland City Map is specially produced as a creative collaboration for CITIx60: Portland between viction:ary and Joyce Fan, and exclusively available on victionary.com. Selected city maps are available as limited fine art prints, numbered and/or signed, following publication of the guides.
